21.8 billion! PowerChina won the bid for the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf

The total length of the water transmission line of the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf is 490.33 kilometers. The Bureau, the 11th Bureau, the 14th Bureau, the Electric Power Construction Municipal Corporation and other units won the bid for 11 of the 19 bidding sections, with the winning amount exceeding 21.8 billion yuan, accounting for more than 67%.

The Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf is a backbone project of the national water network and one of the country’s 150 major water conservancy projects. It has the largest water diversion flow and the longest water transmission line in Guangdong Province so far. It is a major water conservancy and people's livelihood project with the most complex construction conditions and the largest total investment. After the project is completed, it can solve the long-term problem of mismatch between water resources carrying capacity and economic development layout in western Guangdong, and greatly improve the regional water supply security capability.
