Shanghai Fengxian Coastal Marine Ecological Protection and Restoration Project is located in the middle section of the coastline of Fengxian District, starting from Fengxian District Zhonggang in the east and Huadian Ash Dam in the west. The project is laid out according to "one corridor and three areas". "One Corridor" refers to the creation of a 17.4-kilometer coastal ecological corridor, relying on coastal ecological restoration to form land-sea linkage and create an open strip-shaped coastal composite ecological space; "Three Zones" refers to the coastline from east to west Create a multi-ecological service function integrated area, a medium-high beach habitat protection demonstration area and a beach natural succession habitat area, give full play to the ecological service functions of each region, create a highlight of Shanghai's coastal wetland restoration, and continuously improve the diversity and stability of the coastal ecosystem.

In the next stage, the Municipal Ocean Bureau, together with the Municipal Finance Bureau, will continue to promote the marine ecological protection and restoration of Hangzhou Bay and the Yangtze Estuary in accordance with the requirements of the "Dual Plan" and the "14th Five-Year Plan", and gradually Construct a Yangtze River Estuary-Hangzhou Bay marine ecological protection and restoration pattern, focus on the characteristics of the marine ecosystems in various coastal areas of Shanghai, and create multiple sea-friendly offshore spaces with Shanghai characteristics in accordance with local conditions to achieve harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
