Three industrial clusters in Qingdao successfully completed the on-site defense of provincial advanced manufacturing clusters

The Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology attaches great importance to the cultivation of provincial advanced manufacturing clusters. In order to prepare for the defense and fully demonstrate the development advantages of Qingdao’s industrial clusters, it has organized a cluster defense Special training sessions and four pre-defense meetings. The training meeting invited the heads of departments and promotion organizations who participated in the national advanced manufacturing cluster defense, and provided systematic guidance and training to the units participating in the defense in terms of the cluster defense process, requirements and key matters. Cluster defense preparations have been arranged; the pre-defense meeting will strictly follow the on-site defense process, invite relevant leaders and experts to comment on the spot, and propose modifications to the reporting materials and preset questions, striving to demonstrate the development strength and future of Qingdao's industrial clusters potential.

Qingdao’s new energy vehicle industry cluster relies on 8 complete vehicle companies such as Jiefang, Volkswagen, and Wuling, and gathers 423 regulated industrial companies, with models covering light, medium and heavy trucks, cars, SUVs, and buses. etc., building a complete system of fuel, pure electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. In 2022, the cluster's output value will be 157.1 billion, and 844,000 complete vehicles will be produced, including 217,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for approximately 71% of the province's total. The production capacity utilization rate has ranked first in the country for five consecutive years.

The Qingyanwei Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Equipment Industry Cluster has 140 industrial enterprises above designated size such as Beihai Shipbuilding and CIMC Raffles, and brings together upstream and downstream enterprises such as Shandong Shipping and Qingdao Marine Inspection Group. There are more than 600 companies, and an industrial cluster integrating R&D, design, construction, and services has been initially formed to achieve win-win and mutual prosperity for shipowners and shipyards. In 2022, the full-scale output value of the cluster will exceed 100 billion yuan. Among them, offshore engineering equipment ranks first in the country, accounting for 37%.

Qingdao Instrumentation Industrial Cluster in Industry It leads the country in many subdivided fields such as measurement and control, electronic measurement, environmental monitoring, and ocean observation. There are currently 110 industrial enterprises above designated size, and their revenue accounts for more than 1/3 of the province.
